I am a customer based in an EU member state (outside Germany). What do I need to know when registering with OpusDNS?
When signing up with OpusDNS, you will be asked to provide general address and contact details.
The following notes are solely intended for guidance.
For customers based in an EU member state outside Germany:
-
For companies based in another EU member state, a valid VAT ID is generally required to verify business status.
-
Invoices can only be issued under the reverse-charge procedure if a valid VAT ID is provided.
-
If no valid proof of business status is provided via a VAT ID, the reverse-charge procedure cannot be applied.
-
For certain territories within the EU (e.g., the Canary Islands), different rules may apply. In such cases, invoicing will be carried out in accordance with the applicable tax regulations.
Note: The company’s registered business address and billing address are important for correct invoicing. If these details change —whether within Germany or to another country— this may affect tax treatment and invoicing. In such cases, all relevant customer master data, including any required VAT ID, should be updated.
