Transfer Lock — Enabling and Disabling

Protect your domain from unauthorized transfers

What is Transfer Lock?

Transfer Lock (also called Domain Lock or Registrar Lock) is a security feature that prevents a domain name from being transferred to another registrar without authorization. It helps protect domain owners from unauthorized transfers, domain theft, and accidental changes.

For example, if a company owns the domain example.com and someone gains access to part of their account, the domain cannot be transferred to a different registrar while the transfer lock is enabled. Before a legitimate transfer can take place, the owner must first unlock the domain, adding an extra layer of security.
