How do I set up domain parking and what should I know?
Set up Domain Parking in the OpusDNS Dashboard
To use our domain parking service, the following setup is required:
Your domain and its DNS zone must be hosted with OpusDNS, and you need to use our nameservers (ns1.opusdns.com and ns2.opusdns.net).
1. How to set up Domain parking
To set up domain parking, go to Services > Domain Parking. You will be taken to a confirmation page where you must accept the terms and agreements to activate the service.

Click Add Parking for Domain and enter your domain name. Then click Create and Enable to activate parking.

After the creation, authorization may take a few minutes. You can monitor the status in the top Parking Details panel by clicking on it.

While you wait, we will automatically set up a 302 temporary redirect to an AI-generated microsite, complete with content and links. The microsite’s URL can also be found in the Parking Details panel.

Once authorized, a default microsite will go live. Over the following hours and days, its design, structure, and links will be automatically optimized based on the domain name, traffic patterns, and analytics.

2. Monitor your parking
Once the site is live and some traffic appeared on your site, you will see a bunch of statistics around the earnings and usage of the site.
2.1 Parking Statistics

At the top, you can switch between different hostnames of your parked domains, choose the protocol (HTTP or HTTPS), and adjust the time range for your statistics.
The revenue metric shows how profitable your domain parking is. The long bar below your estimated revenue visualizes the progress between your domain costs and current monetization. Once your earnings cover your domain costs, the bar is fully filled.
Revenue is calculated based on your traffic, the ads displayed on your page, and their relevance.
Other parking statistics include:
-
Views: the number of visitors your site has received since the parking was activated.
-
Conversions: how many visitors clicked on ads, generating revenue.
-
Revenue per click (RPC) and per mille (RPM): calculated based on your traffic, the content of your page, and your domain name.

2.2 Forward Statistics
You can view statistics for forwards, total visits, and unique visits, based on the time range selected at the top.
2.3 Visitor Statistics
You can find detailed traffic statistics over time, with the option to adjust the time frame. The statistics include:
-
Visit distribution and insights by country
-
HTTPS status codes

-
User agent details for in-depth information about browsers and devices
