How to create an OpusDNS account and what do I need to know beforehand?

Create an OpusDNS Account

To create an OpusDNS account, go to app.opusdns.com/signup and fill in the required information.

The account creation process requires different types of information. First, you provide your personal details such as email, username, and password. Next, you enter your business information and confirm your agreement with the Master Service Agreement and other terms. Once your account is set up, you can start transferring your existing domains or register new ones.

Which Information is Required?

Personal Information

  • Email address

  • Username

  • Full name

  • Phone number

  • Password

Business Information

  • Organization name

  • Address, city, state, Postal Code, country

  • Currency (USD / EUR)

  • Depending on your country: VAT ID and/or business number

Confirmation

  • Confirm that you are a B2B customer

  • Accept the Master Service Agreement and Terms & Conditions

 

Why do we need all of this information?

We need to ensure that our customers are B2B, as our prices are displayed as net amounts. As an ICANN-accredited domain registrar, we are required to verify this information as well. 

 

Things to Know Before Signing Up for an Account

Organization Name
The name you provide must match the official name on your company registration documents.

Organization Address
Your full address must correspond to the officially documented address of your company.

Currency
The currency you select during registration will be permanent. We only support one currency for invoices and billing, and it cannot be changed later. If you need both USD and EUR, we recommend creating a second account with the other currency.

VAT ID
The VAT ID is used to calculate taxes on your invoices. We recommend providing it during registration, even if it is optional, to ensure it appears correctly on your invoices.
If you encounter errors related to your VAT ID during registration, please double-check that your organization name and address exactly match the information on your official company documents.

Business Number
The business number may be required to verify that you have an officially registered company. You usually receive this number from your government, local tax authority, or equivalent at the time of company registration.
