Zwei-Faktor-Authentifizierung (MFA / 2FA) und warum ist sie nach der Registrierung erforderlich? ### Was ist Multifaktor- / Zwei-Faktor-Authentifizierung? Die **Multifaktor-Authentifizierung (MFA)**, auch bekannt als **Zwei-Faktor-Authentifizierung (2FA)**, ist ein Sicherheitsverfahren, das für den Login mehr als einen Nachweis erfordert. Neben Benutzername und Passwort wird ein **zweiter Faktor** abgefragt. In der Praxis handelt es sich dabei meist um einen **zeitbasierten Einmalcode**, der über eine Authenticator-App auf einem mobilen Gerät erzeugt wird. ### Wofür wird MFA eingesetzt? MFA dient dazu, den Zugriff auf Konten und sensible Ressourcen effektiv abzusichern. Selbst wenn Ihre Login-Daten kompromittiert werden, ist ein Zugriff ohne den zweiten Faktor **nicht möglich**. Damit schützt MFA vor: - unbefugtem Zugriff - Account-Übernahmen - Missbrauch gestohlener Zugangsdaten ### Warum ist MFA notwendig? Passwörter allein bieten heute keinen ausreichenden Schutz mehr. Sie können wiederverwendet, offengelegt oder automatisch von Passwort-Managern ausgefüllt werden. Mit aktivierter MFA ist zusätzlich ein **Besitznachweis eines Geräts** erforderlich. Nur wer sowohl seine Zugangsdaten als auch die Authenticator-App besitzt, kann sich einloggen. So bleiben Ihre Domains und digitalen Assets zuverlässig geschützt. ### Empfohlene Authenticator-Apps Wir empfehlen die Nutzung einer Authenticator-App auf einem **mobilen Gerät**, das Sie in der Regel immer bei sich tragen. Bewährte und weit verbreitete Apps sind: - **Google Authenticator** - **FreeOTP** - **Microsoft Authenticator** Grundsätzlich können auch andere Authenticator-Apps verwendet werden. Die genannten Lösungen sind jedoch besonders **bekannt, einfach einzurichten und zuverlässig** im täglichen Einsatz. ### Warum ist MFA bei uns verpflichtend?
