Changing Domain Contacts
Assign or update Registrant, Admin and Tech contacts
Currently, updating contacts directly in the Contacts → All Contacts section is not supported.
You can update contact information within the domain management dialog (see this article). However, updating a contact there will create a new contact profile instead of modifying the existing one.
This behavior exists because contact attributes and registry requirements for specific TLDs can be complex and vary between domain extensions.
We are currently working on a solution that will support a proper contact update process in the future.
Changing Domain Contacts
Each domain requires contact profiles for specific roles. You can assign or change these contacts from the domain detail page.
Where to Find It
Path: Left sidebar → Domains → click on a domain → Contacts tab
Contact Roles
Every domain can have up to four contact roles:
- Registrant — The legal owner of the domain (required)
- Admin — Administrative contact
- Tech — Technical contact
- Billing — Billing contact
What You'll See
The Contacts tab shows the currently assigned contacts for each role. Each contact card displays the contact's name and key information. Available actions include:
- "Use Existing Contact" — Search and select from your saved contacts. Opens a dialog with a search box ("Search contacts..."), paginated results, and a "Use Selected" button.
- "Create Contact" — Create a new contact inline
- "More contact options" — Additional options for advanced contact management
- "Update Contact" — Edit the details of the currently assigned contact
- "Duplicate contact" — Create a copy of an existing contact
