Why Did My Bulk Job Fail?
Finding the Error
- Navigate to Bulk Jobs in the left sidebar.
- Click the failed batch to open it.
- Find the failed operation(s) — they show a red "X".
- Click the operation to expand its details.
- Read the "Error reason" field for the specific error message.
- Review the "Raw operation data" to check the input payload.
Common Failure Reasons
Domain Registration/Transfer:
- Insufficient account balance
- Domain is not available or already registered
- Invalid auth code (for transfers)
- Transfer lock is still active
- TLD not supported
- Contact validation errors
DNS Operations:
- Invalid zone name
- Zone already exists
- Invalid record format or values
- Conflicting records (e.g., CNAME at same name as other types)
Contact Creation:
- Missing required fields
- Invalid email or phone format
- Country-specific validation failures
Retry Strategy
For failed operations:
- Review the error reason.
- Fix the underlying issue (e.g., add funds, fix contact data, remove transfer lock).
- Create a new bulk job with the corrected data.
For paused operations, you can simply "Resume operation" after fixing the issue.
