Configuring Nameservers for Your Domain

Adding OpusDNS Nameservers

Where can i find it?

Left Sidebar → Domains → All Domains → Select a Domain → Nameserver tab → Hosts

Direct URL: /domains/[DOMAIN]/nameservers

What can I see?

On the nameservers page, you will find:

  • Nameserver: There you can choose OpusDNS Nameserver or custom ones from another provider or your own nameserver.
  • Hosts: There you can create Glue records. See Setting up Glue Records / Host Objects.

Setting OpusDNS Nameservers

To use OpusDNS nameservers:

  1. Navigate to the Nameserver panel in the domain context
  2. You will see a dropdown element with nameserver options
  3. Select OpusDNS as Nameserver type
  4. Click Save Nameservers

Important note

To use OpusDNS nameservers, a DNS zone must exist with the same name as your domain.
An empty zone (no records required) is sufficient.

Adding Custom Nameservers

To use custom nameservers:

  1. Navigate to the Nameserver panel in the domain context
  2. You will see a dropdown element with nameserver options
  3. In the dropdown, select Custom as Nameserver type
  4. Click Add Nameserver
  5. Enter your nameserver hostnames (usually at least 2 are required)
  6. Click Save Nameservers
